What the SAE J1939 training covers
The course covers the J1939 message structure, Parameter Group Numbers (PGN) and Suspect Parameter Numbers (SPN), the PDU1/PDU2 formats, the transport protocol for multi-packet messages (TP.CM and TP.DT), address claiming and network management, and the diagnostic messages (DM1/DM2) used for fault reporting. Relevant sub-standards (J1939-21/71/73/81) are mapped out.
