The problem
Modern machines are a patchwork of fieldbus and industrial Ethernet from many different vendors, and the network is exactly where integration pain concentrates. A node that will not join the bus, an intermittent timing fault that only appears under load, diagnostics that no single supplier will own — these problems sit in the gaps between products, and vendor support almost always stops at the edge of the vendor’s own box. Someone has to understand the whole network, not just one device on it.
What we deliver
Vendor-neutral network services across the full lifecycle. When a design is still on paper, we can review it and flag the protocol, topology and timing risks before they are built into hardware. We help with architecture and protocol selection at the design stage, deployment and commissioning, on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting when something misbehaves, performance optimisation to hit tight cycle times, and custom gateway development when two networks have to be bridged. We also run hands-on training so your team can operate and diagnose the network themselves. This spans CANopen, EtherCAT, FSoE and J1939, covering both fieldbus and industrial Ethernet.
Standards we work to
CiA 301 and CiA 304 for CANopen and CANopen Safety, the EtherCAT Technology Group specifications for EtherCAT, IEC 61784-3 for FSoE and functional-safety communication, and SAE J1939 for heavy-duty and off-highway vehicles. Where the network carries real-time or safety data, requirements are traced to IEC 61508. We also help teams interpret what these specifications require in practice, translating clauses into concrete configuration and test steps.
